Another way to waste time online...

Well, here I am. I've found another way to waste time online. My excuse, however, is that this will force me to record all those wacky and wonderful things my kids do everyday that I will doubtless forget over the months. We have two little girls, so of course pink is the colour of choice for almost everything. Jessica is 4 1/2 and Rachel is 2 1/2. They are angels or devils, but usually sit somewhere in the middle.

Today, after dropping Jessica off at her half-day summer camp, Rachel and I went to spend my $30 gift certificate at Winners (thanks Dave & Katie). Armed with three tops and four dresses, Rachel and I headed over to the kids' section to pick her out a dress to try on. After much deliberation and some "No Mommy, I want that one!" we picked out a pink dress-stavaganza. As she pranced around the dressing room in her pink meringue dress, she kept looking up at me and saying "I'm like Cinderalla!" Then she would twirl around while humming to herself, only to stop once more to announce that she was "beauuuuutiful." Adorned across the front of the dress were dozens of little "pearls," which Rachel commented on by saying "Look Mommy. I have earrings on my dress."

This little display was so adorable and allowed me to actually pick out something to spend my birthday $$ on. All was well until it was time to take off the dress. And no, we can't always have everything we want. And yes, we must take off the dress now. But everything in the universe is solved by a chocolate chip and marshmallow granola bar.
